Aside from Yami being a foreigner (for an obvious reason), and the only captain liking Asta's guts, I think he's seen something good about the mc. As I remember, Ian Sinclair is voicing Magna Swing here. If it's Ian on high pitch voice, he'll always sound like a thug. If he voices in deeper and softer tone, he'll sound like a charismatic heartthrob. But I also remembered if he voiced Whis from DBS, and is able to sound sassy or effeminate.
